Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Configuration Analyst. As a Configuration Analyst, you will ensure the efficient warehouse management system operation, configuration, supporting process improvement, tactical efforts, and critical initiatives by monitoring, reviewing, and updating the WMS system to improve efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accurate entry and maintenance of all WMS systems data.
  • Create reports to monitor and streamline WMS process efficiency, inventory levels, and data accuracy.
  • Configure WMS for new items on daily inbound list.
  • Track, review, and analyzes results after making any WMS changes.
  • Participates in physical and functional configuration audits.
  • Identify and resolve basic configuration issues to ensure safe and efficient storage of items
  • Work with region purchasing team daily on new items to ensure correct UOM's are up to date.
  • Work with operations for any recon item reports.
  • Manage the Cycle Count dashboard.
  • Maintain Hazmat compliance for each warehouse and report to the environmental manager.
  • Travel to other branches within the region to implement velocity changes within the warehouse.
  • Add new users into WMS. This includes new hires as well as sales team members.
  • Maintain customer product file and enter audit/vas task notifications to accommodate for certain customer needs at the loading phase.
  • Create and Print location labels for warehouses in region.
  • Explain system functions to warehouse such as pick rules and put rules. Make changes wherever needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience, preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is recommended.
  • Experience with SQL is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills to efficiently respond to urgent situations.
  • Must be process oriented with good judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong technical skills included but not limited to Microsoft O365 applications.
  • Ability to be adaptable and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to prioritize multiple, urgent requests
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
