The JOB:

The Catering Conference Service Manager is responsible for the coordination and servicing of all group bookings along with some social/wedding events when assigned by DOC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.

Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.

Always maintain positive guest and employee relations.

Familiarization with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquires accurately.

Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

Maintain knowledge of:

1. Assigned scheduled group functions, times, locations and requirements.

2. Location of all hotel function space and function room capacities and name of rooms.

3. All styles of meeting and banquet room settings.

4. Function room features-lighting, sound system, telephone capabilities, etc.

5. Menu Pricing, guarantee policies, payment policies, room rental charges, service charges, shipping and receiving charges.

6. Shipping and receiving policies, outside vendor services.

7. Banquet service standards.

General working knowledge of all departments in the hotel to ensure successful planning and implementation of conventions.

Effectively handle multiple events.
