Description

Journeyman Electrician - Conduit & Electrical Construction

Precision Wire & Control (PWC) is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support ongoing commercial and light industrial projects in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport area.


This role is ideal for an electrician who takes pride in clean, professional conduit work, understands jobsite realities, and can work independently. Prior controls experience is not required - we will train the right electrician on the technology side.


This is a hands-on, field-based position working in active construction environments. Projects may require early mornings, nights, or weekends depending on site access.


This is a full-time, hourly role and will require frequent travel (up to 90%). Candidates must live within commuting distance of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Relocation is not provided.


What you'll be doing (job responsibilities):

  • Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments
  • Bend and install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC, IMC) accurately and efficiently
  • Pull wire and terminate circuits per prints and code
  • Read and work from electrical drawings, layouts, and blueprints
  • Perform layout and rough in in accordance with NEC requirements
  • Install lighting, panels, devices, feeders, and associated electrical infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical issues using meters and testing equipment
  • Support electrical work related to automation and control systems (training provided)
  • Perform safe demolition and removal of existing electrical systems when required
  • Maintain clean, organized, inspection ready work areas
  • Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades
  • Operate lifts, ladders, and power tools safely
  • Follow all safety policies, jobsite rules, and company standards
  • Represent PWC professionally in secure and high visibility environments, including airports

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of hands-on electrical construction experience
  • Strong experience with conduit installation and bending
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with standard electrical tools and meters
  • Ability to supply basic hand and power tools (drill, impact, pliers, screwdrivers, meter, etc.)
  • OSHA 10 required (must be obtained within 60 days of hire if not currently held)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow direction
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including: 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Standing, bending, kneeling for extended periods
  • Working overhead, in confined spaces, and at elevation
  • Working on ladders, lifts, stairs, and elevated platforms
  • Exposure to hot, cold, noisy, and active construction area
