Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing certification and recertification training for every operational station in Production, Warehouse, Returns or other areas as assigned by the Training Manager
  • Tracking individual contact hours by course, cell and shift
  • Will assist the training manager/business unit dedicated instructor in preparing the monthly training forecast
  • Will identify training needs that may fall outside the traditional operational OJT needs such as OJT development and Continuous/Process Improvement of training delivery
  • Conduit between floor supervision/management and the training manager
  • Communicates concerns/issues raised by production, warehouse, and Returns
  • Provides input to both the floor and training manager of the deployment of any change in training need or requirements
  • Work with other trainers to further develop their project management skills and provide developmental guidance to enhance their training skills
  • Assist with providing feedback and developing teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and resource materials that create diverse opportunities for participants to connect with the content
  • Assist with the testing of trainees to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of education program(s)
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on SOE reviews, projects, new product rollouts, and process evaluation
  • Ability to flex to the various shifts to effectively support the site's needs

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree or 4 years of Manufacturing Operations experience
  • One year of related training experience
  • One year previous experience using a compute
  • Initial training and successful performance as an Associate III/IV or a lateral move from another department

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to provide actionable feedback and open to receive feedback
  • Skilled in managing time while balancing multiple tasks/responsibilities, meetings, and certifications
  • Proactively identify gaps and suggest improvements/solutions
  • Working knowledge of training delivery/design/development and evaluation techniques
  • Successful completion MFG Training Department OJT Trainer Certification
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff
  • Necessary competencies include, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Must be familiar with scheduling protocols and have more than a general knowledge of reporting/tracking mechanisms (Google Suite, Sheets, Docs, Forms etc.)
  • Must be flexible, innovative and have the ability to manage classes/curriculum priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

This position requires individuals to think independently and have the capability of addressing team member problems. This is a highly skilled position that requires the ability to make decisions on business processes, identification and remediation of errors, and issues with existing processes.
