The main difference between a Conditional Registered Nurse and a Licensed Practical Nurse lies in their scope of practice and licensing. Conditional Registered Nurses are licensed to perform a broader range of nursing duties after passing the NCLEX-RN exam, often working in hospitals and clinics. Licensed Practical Nurses typically have a narrower scope, working mainly in long-term care and outpatient settings after passing the NCLEX-PN exam.
