Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved.
  • Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed.
  • Applying sealing and hardening components.
  • Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
  • Monitoring the effect heat, wind and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results.
  • Removing edges on expansion joints and sides.
  • Compacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled bases.
  • Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms.
  • Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.
  • Performs necessary daily inspection and or maintenance of equipment used.
  • Keeps equipment clean and in working order and prepares equipment for transport when needed.
  • Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
  • Follows Supervisor's instructions closely.
