Commercial Concrete Foreman – Lead Commercial Foundation and Flatwork Projects

Pay: $30–$35+ per hour, depending on experience, plus sign-on bonus and additional bonus opportunities

Required License: Valid driver’s license; Michigan chauffeur’s license preferred or ability to obtain quickly

The Opportunity

BBC Foundation & Flatwork is hiring a Commercial Concrete Foreman to lead field crews on commercial foundation and flatwork projects throughout the local/regional market. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who can read blueprints, set and check grades, lead crews, and keep commercial concrete projects moving safely and efficiently.


This role offers steady work, weekly pay, overtime potential, prevailing wage project opportunities, and the chance to take ownership of important field operations with an established commercial concrete company.


How You Will Make an Impact
  • Lead and direct field crews on commercial concrete foundation and flatwork projects.
  • Supervise daily field operations to keep projects safe, productive, and on schedule.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grades, and project specifications.
  • Set, check, and verify grades/layout before and during concrete work.
  • Coordinate crew assignments, materials, equipment needs, and daily jobsite priorities.
  • Maintain quality standards for commercial pours, foundations, pads, and flatwork.
  • Monitor crew performance and reinforce safe jobsite practices.
  • Work directly with project leadership to communicate job progress, issues, and field needs.
  • Step in hands-on when needed to support the crew and keep work moving.


Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven foreman or field leadership experience in commercial concrete.
  • Strong experience with foundation and/or flatwork projects.
  • Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of grades, layout, and commercial concrete jobsite execution.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Michigan chauffeur’s license required or ability to obtain quickly.
  • Ability to travel to local/regional jobsites; home nightly in most cases.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of commercial concrete experience preferred; 10+ years a plus.
  • Experience leading crews of approximately 6–12 workers.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Equipment operating experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience with prevailing wage projects is helpful.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
