Position Overview/Description:

The Field Crew Member plays a crucial role in the stormwater construction and maintenance process, assisting skilled tradespeople and the site supervisor/foreman in executing and completing on-site tasks. The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the stormwater management industry and develop valuable skills for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the setup, performing work, and cleanup of job sites, including loading/unloading materials, tools, and equipment, and installing drainage pipe.
  • Execute and complete various basic job site tasks as directed by the site supervisor/foreman including digging trenches, installing drainage pipe, leveling ground.
  • Operate basic machinery and equipment safely, such as trucks/trailers, excavators, skid steers, concrete saws, chainsaws, mowers, weed eaters, following proper training and guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following company safety (OSHA) policies and procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the site supervisor/foreman promptly.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Adapt to various tasks and responsibilities depending on project needs.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is an advantage but not required.
  • Willingness to comply with safety regulations and participate in safety training programs.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including potential overtime and Saturdays, depending on project requirements.
