Work Environment

This full-time position requires onsite work at our Laurel facility, where our team collaborates to deliver comprehensive medical services. You will work in a well-structured office setting, where the atmosphere is collaborative, and communication among team members is a priority. Our operational model promotes both independence and teamwork, allowing you the flexibility to practice autonomously while having support readily available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Bloom Health Medical Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering laboratory studies.
  • Diagnosing and developing treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses, while managing patient follow-ups and adjustments to treatment based on outcomes.
  • Providing health education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and the effective use of medications.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, which may include consultations and referrals when necessary.
  • Utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and to facilitate streamlined communication across the clinic.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with an advanced practice degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland, eligible for certification.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an accredited certifying organization is required.
  • Acute Care certifications will not be considered for this internal medicine position.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably with a focus on internal medicine.
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient communication skills, addressing both healthcare and lifestyle topics.
  • A proven record of independently managing a diverse patient caseload effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
