Job description

Position Overview

The Premium Experience and Engagement Intern will support the Business Operations Team, including, but not limited to, scheduling, event set up, organizing uniforms for Premium Concierge Team, ensuring VIP guest experience during events at Capital One Arena and other projects as needed. You will learn through on-the-job experience about arena hospitality and Premium Experience Management. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities
  • Support concierge and front-of-house staff with guest inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain a polished, professional, and welcoming atmosphere in all premium spaces.
  • Conduct basic walkthroughs to identify and report issues to supervisors.
  • Support event-day and non-event-day operations in premium spaces.
  • Analyze market trends, conduct research, and identify potential growth areas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of company events and promotions.
  • Assist in fulfilling various contracted assets (i.e. autographed merchandise, dasher boards, suite nights, tickets).
  • Take proof of performance photos at all games and events, organize and edit post-event.
  • Work home games, client receptions, and other special events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student.
  • Experience in Hospitality, Food, and Beverage
  • Proficiently experienced with Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding work ethic and a meticulous nature.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organized, thorough, and detail driven.
  • Able to develop and maintain successful working relationships.
  • Reliable transportation and housing.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed throughout the Washington Wizards and Capitals seasons.
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
