How much do concierge doctor jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 9, 2026, the average hourly pay for concierge doctor in the United States is $18.12, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $14.90 and $19.23 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How does a concierge doctor typically manage patient care differently compared to traditional primary care physicians?

As a concierge doctor, you will often manage a smaller panel of patients, allowing for more personalized and accessible care. This means you'll have the opportunity to spend more time with each patient, offer same-day or next-day appointments, and be more readily available via phone or email. The role involves building strong, long-term relationships with patients and focusing on preventive care, but it also requires managing expectations and maintaining high levels of service. Collaboration with specialists and coordinating care across providers is common, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care for your patients.

What is the difference between Concierge Doctor vs Primary Care Physician?

AspectConcierge DoctorPrimary Care Physician
CredentialsMedical degree, state medical license, optional certification in concierge medicineMedical degree, state medical license, board certification in family medicine or internal medicine
Work EnvironmentPrivate practice, often personalized, limited patient panelCommunity clinics, hospitals, or private practices with larger patient panels
Employer & IndustryIndependent or concierge medicine practicesHospitals, clinics, healthcare organizations
Search & Comparison IntentPersonalized, luxury healthcare servicesGeneral, accessible healthcare for the public

Concierge Doctors provide personalized, high-end healthcare with limited patient panels, often in private practices. Primary Care Physicians offer broad, accessible healthcare services in various settings, serving larger patient populations. The main difference lies in the level of personalized care and practice structure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Concierge Doctor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Concierge Doctor, you need a medical degree, board certification in your specialty, and a valid medical license, along with extensive experience in patient-centered care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, telemedicine platforms, and sometimes additional training in preventive or holistic medicine is common. Exceptional interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to provide personalized attention set successful Concierge Doctors apart. These skills ensure high-quality, attentive care that builds trust and long-term relationships with patients who expect a premium healthcare experience.

What are concierge doctors?

Concierge doctors are physicians who provide personalized healthcare services to a limited number of patients, often in exchange for an annual or monthly membership fee. This model allows patients to receive enhanced access to their doctor, including same-day appointments, longer consultations, and direct communication via phone or email. Concierge doctors typically focus on preventive care and building strong doctor-patient relationships. They may also coordinate specialist referrals and manage chronic conditions more closely than traditional primary care providers.

Job description

Patient Concierge - Concierge Dental Group

You're the first voice patients hear, the calm presence when the lobby fills up, and the quiet operator who makes a busy practice feel effortless. The right Patient Concierge owns the patient experience from check-in through check-out and keeps the day running. We're hiring someone who can do that with warmth, professionalism, and follow-through.

Concierge Dental Group is a five-location dental practice in Western New York: Clarence, North Buffalo, Orchard Park, West Seneca, and Williamsville. We're hiring a Patient Concierge at our Orchard Park office (2799 Southwestern Blvd., Suite 400).

What working here actually looks like:

Greeting patients warmly, managing the schedule, owning check-in and check-out - the full patient experience flows through your desk.

Answering the phone calmly and professionally even when the lobby is full and a doctor needs you.

Working alongside the front-office and clinical teams as a partner, not a silo.

Schedule flexibility across five locations if you want it - cover a sister office when needed, work close to home most days.

Real growth paths - many of our administrative leaders started in this role. Lead Patient Concierge, Treatment Coordinator, and Office Manager paths are real and open.

What we need from you:

Genuinely friendly, professional, and unflappable on the phone and in person.

Strong communication and the ability to juggle scheduling, calls, and check-ins without dropping the ball.

Comfortable with computers and willing to learn dental practice management software (OpenDental experience a plus).

Customer-service, hospitality, or healthcare reception experience strongly preferred.

A team-first, patient-focused mindset.

Compensation and benefits:

Competitive hourly compensation depending on experience.

Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Paid time off and continuing education support.

A schedule and team that actually let you use your PTO.

The honest part:

We're a growing five-location group, and we're intentionally building one cohesive team across all of our offices. In the past year we brought in dedicated executive leadership focused specifically on team development, communication, and how our offices work together. We're not done. We're still building. If you want to be part of building something rather than arriving somewhere already finished, we'd like to meet you.

The smile for me; just dial 3.
