Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


The Concession Cashier is responsible for providing excellent guest service while accurately processing food and beverage transactions in a fast-paced concession environment. This position assists guests with menu selections, operates the point-of-sale system, maintains clean and organized work areas, and supports efficient concession operations during events and peak service periods.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.90-$17.90 and is tip eligible. 

This is a seasonal role from June 25, 2026, and will end on September 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.


The OC Fair & Event Center is a year-round event venue located in Costa Mesa, California. It is best known as the home of the annual OC Fair, but the property also hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, trade shows, festivals, sporting events, community events, conventions, and private gatherings. The OC Fair & Event Center serves as a major entertainment and community hub for Orange County, offering indoor and outdoor event spaces, exhibit halls, arenas, meeting rooms, and entertainment venues. The property features attractions such as the Pacific Amphitheatre, equestrian facilities, and event grounds that accommodate large-scale public events and corporate functions.


  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
  • Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale system
  • Assist guests with menu selections and answer questions regarding food and beverage offerings
  • Maintain knowledge of concession menu items, promotions, and pricing
  • Prepare and serve food and beverage items in accordance with company standards as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked cashier and concession areas throughout each shift
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain dining tables, counters, condiment stations, and guest seating areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
  • Assist with removing trays, trash, and debris from guest areas during and after service
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
  • Restock food, beverages, condiments, and supplies as needed during service
  • Complete opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Work collaboratively with concession staff and management to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Maintain company standards for attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and appearance

  • Previous cashier, concession, retail, or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic math and transaction processing skills
  • Ability to operate a point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid California Food Handler Card as required by state law
