Job description

KC Live! is the Midwest's premier entertainment destination. An entire city block with two levels of world-class restaurants, taverns and night spots, KC Live! is where Kansas City goes to play. KC Live! also features a full-concert stage where the country's most premiere musicians and bands perform weekly during the summer and for special events throughout the year.

Event Staffs Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet all guests upon entrance with a smile.
  • Provide guest assistance at venue entrances and throughout the venue.
  • Scan tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
  • Provide assistance to guests with questions including directions around the venue, performance information, etc.
  • May assist in verifying staff credentials to restricted areas.
  • Work with fellow staff members to prepare, set up, and breakdown events
  • Additional tasks as requested by management.

Event Staff Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and / or holidays
  • Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours of time
  • Must be able to carry / lift items weighing up to 25 lbs
  • At least one year of experience with cash handling.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional and effective manner inย an intense and dynamic guest service environment.ย 
  • Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.

The Event Staff position requires the ability to perform the following:

  • Strong ability to provide attention to detail.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Handling objects, products and credit card machines.
  • Must be able to stay in one location at either the entrance or exit of the venue for long periods of time and safely/efficiently move about the entire venue.
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the venue, the brand and the Company.
  • Reading abilities are frequently utilized, often when reviewing guests' identification.
  • Basic mathematical skills are used frequently.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
