Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving innovative programs and delivering exceptional results? We are looking for a talented and dynamic Program Manager to join our growing team at SelectTech. Guided by the SelectTech Senior Program Manager, the Deputy PM will assist in managing all aspects of project execution as dictated by the assigned contract terms and program scope. The person selected for this position will work closely with all SelectTech management, engineering, operations, quality and purchasing staff to execute all assigned tasks. The Deputy PM may also participate in other operational tasks such as proposal preparation, policy/procedure documentation, etc. Other responsibilities can include team leadership, building and maintaining customer trust, and assisting with business development. Priority will be to lead teams that adhere to all tenets of SelectTechโ€™s program/project/contract management: safety, integrity, teamwork, effective communication and planning, fact-based execution (cost, schedule, and performance/quality), and commitment to continuous improvement. What Youโ€™ll Do:
- Define project scope, goals and Work Breakdown Elements (deliverables) that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Generate/evaluate Statements of Work.
- Direct and manage end-to-end program development/execution.
- Effectively communicate project/program expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- When required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Assess the need for additional staff and make the appropriate changes if necessary, during project cycle.
- Evaluate and select vendors and subcontractors for effective utilization as needed. In concert with management, delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations (examples: CDR, PDR, TIM)
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Supervise project team members and suppliers and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Travel as required to customer/vendor sites for various meetings and to support installations.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the program/project.
- Conduct post project reviews and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. What Weโ€™re Looking For:
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant technical or management field. An advanced degree can be a plus. Will consider personnel with substantial relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in a project or program management capacity; experience in roles other than as an assigned PM will be considered if the experience is applicable.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired, but if not currently certified, must be willing to actively work towards achieving certification within the first year of hire.
- Familiarity with various contract types such as FFP and Time & Material (T&M) and commercial and FAR/DFAR contracting regulations โ€“ experience with federal ITAR regulations is considered a plus.
- Skilled with ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 Quality Management processes & procedures.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project, GANTT, PERT and CPM charts.
- Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environments.
- Strong examples of proven analytical and problem-solving performance. Ability to think outside the box.
- Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, even in high-pressure circumstances & environments.
