Description
Reporting to the Director of Theatre Facilities, this role provides technical support for Playhouse events and production. At times, support for other facilities on campus will be required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assists with scenic construction, lighting and audio production and operation.
  • Maintains and operates rope and sandbag rigging system.
  • Assists with electronic and mechanical repair of theatre equipment
  • Assists with maintenance of scene shop, playhouse systems and equipment, lighting inventory and audio resources.
  • Assists with consult of internal and external clients to best provide support for their productions.
  • Assists with the supervision of student aides and crews.
  • Performs other assigned duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job title.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Qualifications
  • Experience and skill in technical production, including construction, sound, painting, rigging required.
  • Specialization in lighting - operation, production, and design.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed in support of playhouse events.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialization in lighting preferred.
