Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Git administrator/Software Engineer to help us move our engineering teams into a common version control system leveraging Git.
You'll be working with the teams to set up Git in alignment to our company's best practices in the enterprise.
Working with local and offshore development teams to implement automation procedures in support to our development and QA teams.
Instrumental in defining the guidelines and procedures for future enhancements and development efforts related to the system in order to guarantee a high level of service and support to our teams well into the future.
Looking for a Git administrator with enterprise level support knowledge/experience. This is not a configuration management position
A seasoned Git administrator who is able to troubleshoot issues is ideal.
Must be able to understand how the integration process to Rational Team Concert is to be done. Experience with Rational Team Concert is a must.

Qualifications

  Oversee architecture of the enterprise Git system
    Help to educate engineering community on appropriate and efficient use of Git
    Set development guidelines and best practices for the system. Work with development teams to adhere to the guidelines.
    Provide first level support of any issues encountered on the system
    Define and maintain SLAs and processes for the system including server uptime and consistency
    Administer the system including but not limited to setting up new users, groups, projects, and configurations
    Install and configure server software, as well as necessary proxies, mirrors and other peripheral software
    Develop server-side scripts as well as other glue software to customize Git and tie in with other tools such as Rational Team Concert, code review tools, build management, etc.
