What is considered a residency for concerts?

It involves multiple shows scheduled regularly, allowing the artist to establish a consistent presence and build a dedicated audience at that venue.

Is there a job that pays you to listen to music?

A concert residency is a job where performers are paid to perform at a specific venue over an extended period, often involving listening to and rehearsing music regularly. While there are jobs like music reviewers or testers that involve listening to music for pay, a concert residency specifically focuses on performing live rather than passive listening. Such roles require musical skill, practice, and sometimes technical knowledge of sound equipment.
