Concept Manager information

What is a concept manager?

A Concept Manager is a professional responsible for developing, managing, and implementing new business or product ideas within an organization. They often coordinate between various departments—such as marketing, design, and production—to bring innovative concepts to life. Their key tasks include market research, strategy development, and overseeing projects from initial idea to launch. Concept Managers play a crucial role in ensuring that new concepts align with the company's goals and meet market demands.

How does a concept manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during the product development process?

As a Concept Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between creative ideation and practical implementation. You’ll regularly collaborate with marketing, design, engineering, and sales teams to ensure that new concepts align with business goals and customer needs. This involves organizing brainstorming sessions, facilitating feedback loops, and aligning project milestones across departments. Effective communication and project management skills are crucial, as you’ll often act as the main point of contact to drive concepts from initial idea to actionable plans.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a concept manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Concept Manager, you need expertise in project management, creative strategy, and market analysis, often supported by a relevant degree in marketing, business, or design. Familiarity with design software (like Adobe Creative Suite), project management tools (such as Asana or Trello), and data analytics platforms is typically required. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities help you inspire teams and drive innovative concepts to execution. These skills ensure the development of market-relevant concepts, effective cross-functional collaboration, and successful project delivery.

Job description

Front of House Manager – Upscale European Café Concept

Atlanta, GA

Are you a polished hospitality professional who thrives in a high-energy, guest-focused environment? We are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join a well-established, upscale European-style café concept known for exceptional service, premium food and beverage offerings, and a distinctive guest experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a restaurant leader who enjoys being on the floor, developing people, building relationships with guests, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily Front of House operations while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Coach, train, motivate, and develop FOH team members.
  • Create a welcoming environment and ensure every guest receives attentive, professional service.
  • Maintain strong floor presence during peak business periods.
  • Manage scheduling, labor, staffing levels, and daily operational priorities.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into positive experiences.
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless FOH/BOH communication.
  • Uphold company standards for cleanliness, presentation, safety, and operational execution.
  • Help build a positive, accountable culture focused on teamwork and hospitality.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in an upscale casual, polished casual, café, or full-service environment.
  • Strong understanding of Front of House restaurant operations.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and develop hourly team members.
  • Excellent guest-service and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable managing high-volume shifts and multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, and restaurant financial controls.
  • Food and beverage knowledge; wine, coffee, dessert, or upscale dining experience is a plus.
  • Professional appearance and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.

Schedule & Benefits

This is a full-time management position with an expected 46–50-hour work week. The company offers a competitive compensation package along with benefits that may include:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Management training and professional development
  • Advancement opportunities within a growing restaurant organization
  • Employee dining benefits

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate understands that great hospitality is created on the floor—not from an office. You should enjoy interacting with guests, developing your team, setting clear expectations, and creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

If you are an experienced restaurant manager looking for a professional organization, a manageable 46–50-hour work week, strong benefits, and an opportunity to continue growing your hospitality career, we would like to hear from you.
