Looking for a We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Network Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Sr. Principal Network Engineer at you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation.
Through the use of Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter.

The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with engineers and technicians in a lab environment
Advise on integration of new emerging industry technologies to the program's systems
Implement engineering changes to the system as required
Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into end-to-end system architectures
Responsible for completing the network configurations and coordinating with the peers, SMEs, and government engineers.
Occasional travel may be required
Required Skill Set :
Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection.
Understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network design, including IP sub-netting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
Understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE).
Understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast.
Familiar with network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS.
Ability to travel 10% of the time

Desired Skills Set :
DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent.
A professional certification specific to the networking industry like a CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
Familiar with network management applications, like Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC), and/or Cisco ISE.
Exposure to the Risk Management Framework, associated security controls, and STIGs.
Familiar with Windows, Linux, and VMWare configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures.
Experience with tactical/military radio networks, like Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2.
Experience with (MIL) SATCOM equipment and services.
Experience with Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC
Experience with Cisco Modelling Labs (CML) or Virtual Internet Routing Lab (VIRL).
Proficiency with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Visio:
Education Qualification :
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; OR 6 years of relevant experience with a Master (MS) degree; OR 4 years of experience with STEM PhD degree; an additional 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor degree.
