Division Security Officer Duties
As a Division Security Officer, your typical work assignments may include:
- Serving as the technical expert that administers and maintains continuing responsibility and management of the Personnel Security Program by implementing DEA and local policies and procedures.
- Serving as the liaison for security related matters with other federal agencies or organizations (e.g., GSA, DHS, DoS, etc.).
- Processing requests for clearance/access, changes to position sensitivity designation, and investigations.
- Planning, developing, coordinating and implementing appropriate physical security/crime prevention programs and policies for the Division.
- Serving as the subject matter expert, responsible for the information security, COMSEC requirements, and compliance of all Division offices.
- Conducting physical security inspections of facilities.
