MANTECH seeks motivated, career and customer-oriented COMSEC Specialist to join our team in Guam, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Philippines, Guam and Oahu Hawaii.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • The COMSEC Specialist II prepares and maintains detailed inventory controls, transfer manifests, and destruction certificates for Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).
  • They develop local operating procedures for cryptographic device configurations and draft compliance reports for senior review.
  • They maintain the technical serviceability and accurate configuration tracking of all local COMSEC assets.
  • The COMSEC Specialist II executes day-to-day cryptographic key generation, distribution, and filling operations to support theaterwide mission readiness.
  • They coordinate the physical receipt, storage, and issuance of classified COMSEC materials to authorized personnel and forward-deployed units.
  • They maintain localized database records within automated accounting systems and ensure strict adherence to established physical and information security protocols.
  • The COMSEC Specialist II takes direction, guidance, and mentoring from more senior staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
Journeyman
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of position-relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Formal certification as a KMI Local Element or Account Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating cryptographic fill devices (e.g., SKL/Simple Key Loader).
  • Familiarity with military communication security reporting pipelines.
  • Technical experience in OCONUS or austere operating environments.

Clearance Required:
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
