The CAD Drafter will support our Lighting & Technology Design team. This role will work closely with Senior Designers, Sales Teams, Project Managers, and external partners to develop and maintain accurate CAD drawings, lighting schedules, and specification packages for residential and commercial projects.

How success is defined:
  • Prepare and organize CAD drawing packages for Senior Designers
  • Update and revise drawings based on redlines provided by Sales, Project Management, and other teams.
  • Develop lighting schedules and specification packages.
  • Maintain drawing accuracy and consistency throughout project phases.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to incorporate project revisions and updates.
  • Assist in organizing project documentation and design deliverables.
  • Support project teams with drafting and technical documentation needs.

What you will bring:
  • Associate's degree in drafting, architecture, design, or a related field required, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, architectural technology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years of AutoCAD or CAD drafting experience in residential or commercial environments preferred.
  • Experience working in lighting design, architectural lighting, or technology integration environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with residential and/or commercial construction documentation preferred.
  • Exposure to lighting control systems and coordination with project teams preferred.
  • Basic understanding of lighting design and switching/control systems
  • Strong knowledge of architectural floor plans, layouts, wall conditions, window placements, and construction details
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Experience creating lighting schedules and specification packages preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and revisions simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $75,000
