Position Summary:

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer with industrial experience in the Mining sector. This position provides design and drafting services for mechanical system such as: piping systems; material handling systems; Crushing circuits and HVAC systems. Experience with Revit and Autocad is required.


Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

  • Operate CAD workstation, to support the preparation of designs for industrial sector projects in mining and material handling.

  • Support preparation of mechanical and piping drawings that includes equipment, process piping and HVAC drawings.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Drafting/CADD, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field..
  • Candidate must have 5 or more years of experience.
  • Must be able to prepare plans, profiles, and detail drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Experience in preparing and understanding P&ID and PFD diagrams required.
  • Must have experience working in a consulting environment.
  • Must have Excel knowledge for preparation of equipment schedules.
  • Must be an independent thinker and be able to assume design assignments with minimal training. 
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
