Job description

Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a CAD Designer on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh area manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CAD software and a strong understanding of technical drawings and schematics.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Prepare assembly and component drawings for sales orders, inquiries, or new product development using PTC Creo software
  • Maintain configurations, generate bills of material, and load component and assembly data into ERP software
  • Prepare production and submittal packages for internal and external use (2D/3D electronic files, special tagging and notations, preparing paper copies, etc.)
  • Perform drawing revisions and modifications, including updating of the ERP system
  • Work with assembly, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to resolve issues
  • Assist in training of new personnel on CAD functions and department procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Two (2) + years of job experience in CAD design or product evaluation testing, Associate Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple projects concurrently
Preferred Skills
  • 3D modelling experience (PTC Creo preferred)
  • Microsoft Outlook, Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
