Job description

Job Summary:
  • Full-Time/Day Shift - Schedule includes 4 10-hour shifts.
  • Performs isodose treatment planning by means of computer and/or manual computation to determine the optimal treatment technique that delivers a prescribed radiation dose to patients.
  • Works closely with the Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicist in planning the radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution to achieve the desired clinical goals.
  • Interfaces with information services and demonstrates a clear understanding and knowledge of computer applications and systems related to Radiation Therapy.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree - Physical science or equivalent and graduate of a medical dosimetry program with minimum of 2 years clinical practice or,
  • Bachelor's Degree - Physical science or equivalent with on-the-job training in medical dosimetry program under the supervision of a certified medical dosimetrist, radiation physicist and radiation oncologist with minimum of 3 years clinical experience or CMD holders received prior to 2011 may substitute ARRT registry for bachelor's degree per the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board).
  • National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board upon hire.
  • Experience with RayStation treatment planning system and Elekta Mosaiq system.
