Nearly all computer jobs require at least a high school diploma or GED certificate, and most require advanced qualifications, such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a closely related field. Essential skills for any computer career include technical ability, knowledge of coding principles, strong mathematical skills, and great attention to detail. Jobs with management responsibilities require leadership and interpersonal skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Computer Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Computer Technician, you need strong knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and networking, typically supported by a relevant associate degree or certifications like CompTIA A+.
