Job Summary

Holy Spirit Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and innovative Computer Teacher to provide technology instruction that prepares students to use digital tools effectively, responsibly, and ethically. The Computer Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ technology skills while supporting the mission of Catholic education and fostering a faith-filled learning environment.

Description
  • Plan and deliver technology instruction for students in designated grade levels.
  • Teach foundational and advanced computer skills, including keyboarding, digital literacy, internet safety, coding, productivity software, and emerging technologies.
  • Integrate technology into classroom learning and collaborate with faculty to support instructional technology initiatives.
  • Promote responsible digital citizenship and ethical use of technology consistent with Catholic values.
  • Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and assessments.
  • Assist students in developing problem-solving, critical-thinking, and digital communication skills.
  • Support the effective use of educational technology platforms, devices, and software applications.
  • Manage the computer lab and technology resources to ensure a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues and coordinate larger technology needs with school administration or technology support personnel.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, faculty, and administration regarding student progress and technology-related initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, school events, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and teachings of the Catholic Church and Holy Spirit Catholic School.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification or ability to meet Archdiocesan and state requirements.
  • Experience teaching technology or computer-related subjects preferred.
  • Knowledge of educational technology platforms, learning management systems, and current classroom technology tools.
  • Strong organizational, classroom management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Must successfully complete all required background screening and Safe Environment training requirements.
