What is computer work?

Computer work refers to tasks or jobs that primarily involve using computers to accomplish various objectives. This can include activities such as data entry, programming, graphic design, writing, research, and administrative duties. People who do computer work often use specialized software and internet resources to perform their tasks efficiently. The term covers a wide range of professions in many industries, from office administration to IT and creative roles.

To thrive in computer-based roles, you generally need proficiency in computer literacy, typing, data entry, and often a relevant educational background such as a high school diploma or higher. Familiarity with office productivity software (like Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace), database systems, and sometimes specialized tools such as CRM or ERP systems is commonly required.
