Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status, needs, and therapeutic goals.
• Developing tailored treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address clients' challenges.
• Providing individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing frameworks that emphasize cultural responsiveness and inclusivity.
• Regularly monitoring clients’ progress, maintaining open communication, and adjusting treatment plans when necessary.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic care for patients.
• Documenting all client interactions accurately within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and behavioral issues. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) to practice in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health settings.
• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and best practices for evidence-based treatment.
• Strong communication abilities to effectively connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with the following experience will be well regarded:

• Experience delivering therapy in a remote or telehealth format.
• Familiarity with group therapy models and techniques.
• Training in specialized treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Previous work with youth and families, particularly in outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
