Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' unique trauma histories and collaborate on personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process traumatic experiences, develop essential coping strategies, and encourage ongoing healing.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to coordinate integrated care, ensuring clients receive the comprehensive support they require.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-triggered emergencies to stabilize clients and facilitate access to further assistance.
  • Offer education to clients and their families about trauma responses and coping skills, reinforcing strengths and available resources.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, professional development activities, and team meetings focused on honing trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay informed on the latest research related to trauma therapy and integrate evolving best practices into your therapeutic approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals struggling with various trauma-related conditions, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Collaboratively, you will guide these individuals through challenging circumstances, fostering resilience and self-efficacy. Your role will empower clients to redefine their narratives in positive and constructive ways.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
  • A firm understanding of trauma-informed therapeutic modalities and demonstrated ability to navigate trauma-focused treatment approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under high-stress conditions.
