Work Environment

This role allows you to work remotely while collaborating with a dynamic team of mental health professionals. Our organization is committed to creating a supportive atmosphere that celebrates diversity and values each team member's contributions. Although you will primarily work from home, you will engage regularly with team members, participate in virtual meetings, and maintain close communication with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other healthcare practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, as well as available community resources.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within our practice.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment techniques and therapeutic efficacy.

Your primary focus will be on individuals coping with the aftermath of traumatic experiences, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our clients come from underrepresented communities, and your expertise will help them navigate their recovery journey, promoting healing and resilience in their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the state of Nevada as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused therapeutic settings.
  • Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in implementing trauma-informed treatment approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
  • A collaborative spirit that supports effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary care environment.
Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, we prefer candidates who have extensive training in trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and a track record of delivering effective interventions for trauma-related disorders. Experience in a hospice or healthcare setting will be a significant advantage.
