Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer with a bachelor's degree or higher and 8+ years of experience to help build the next generation of battlespace awareness capabilities. You will work alongside a small dynamic team of aerospace and software engineers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Execution Leadership: Lead the technical execution of computer vision programs ensuring high-quality model development, testing, and deployment.
  • Strategic Technical Planning: Develop and maintain computer vision technical roadmaps including guiding architecture, algorithm selection, and implementation decisions. Additionally, define work scope packages and milestones, and prioritize feature and capability needs in partnership with program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead Model Development: Lead the design, training, and evaluation of computer vision models for detection, identification, classification, and segmentation. Implement models using modern deep learning architectures and frameworks. Optimize models for performance, robustness, and deployment constraints.
  • Lead Dataset curation: Ingest, clean, annotate, and audit terabytes of optical-sensor imagery to guarantee label fidelity and domain relevance for every model-training run.
  • Research & Innovation: Research and evaluate cutting-edge computer vision models, architectures, and approaches. Prototype and test new algorithms to improve system performance.

Qualifications
  • United States citizenship required
  • Bachelor's degree in Imaging Science, Computer Science, Computer Vision, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Computer Vision
  • 4+ years of experience leading technical teams to include agile software development methodology, developing technical roadmaps, scoping technical requirements, and features
  • Strong Proficiency in Python, C++, or other relevant languages
  • Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and linear algebra
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to imagery analysis
  • Presenting technical choices and trade-offs to executives and non-technical clients
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to executives and non-technical audiences

Desired Skills
  • Master's or PhD degree in Imaging Science, Computer Vision, or Computer Science
  • Experience developing image processing for spacecraft, missile, aircraft, hypersonic glide vehicle, and/or drone detection
  • Experience with modern ML training libraries such as PyTorch Lightning, MLflow, and RayTune
  • Experience designing and training multi-task neural networks that jointly predict segmentation, detection, classification, and motion vectors
  • Experience building and designing modern architectures such as CNNs and Vision Transformers
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques such as JupyterLab, Napari, and Monai, and convey complex results
  • Experience with modern offline data labeling techniques
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $215,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
