Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and inform tailored treatment plans.
• Design, implement, and revise individualized treatment strategies aimed at promoting trauma recovery, resilience, and empowerment.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients navigate their trauma experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster emotional healing.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care for each patient.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention assistance and support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and the resources available to them.
• Maintain precise, confidential documentation adhering to all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team collaborations focused on advancing trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and treatment methodologies in trauma therapy for continuous improvement of patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position specifically focuses on supporting individuals experiencing a range of trauma-related disorders, including PTSD and complex trauma. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding patients through their recovery journeys, fostering an environment where they feel safe, validated, and empowered to reclaim their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methods, and strategies for resilience building.
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Ability to remain composed and effective during high-stress situations.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software and standard computer applications is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
