Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual therapy sessions via secure video chat platforms to assess and support adults experiencing emotional distress.
• Implement screening processes to ensure that clients are matched appropriately based on their stability and acuity levels for effective treatment.
• Facilitate open dialogue, encouraging clients to explore their emotions and relationships to gain insights that promote healing.
• Evaluate and diagnose mental health conditions such as anxiety, grief, and stress, crafting individualized and solution-focused treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey and equip clients with effective coping strategies for sustained emotional well-being.
• Document case notes and treatment plans using our digital systems, allowing for streamlined communication with other healthcare providers.
• Participate in regular training and team meetings to enhance your clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work with a diverse group of adult clients facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, and other emotional difficulties. Your expertise will guide them towards recovery and help restore their sense of well-being.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Must hold one of the following independent licenses: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Possess strong computer literacy and telehealth proficiency to deliver effective remote counseling services.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a teletherapy setting is highly desirable, as it will enhance client engagement and session effectiveness.
• Proven skills in treatment planning, case management, and crisis intervention.
