About the Role
We're looking for an Director of Business Development/Account Manager based in the Boston area to expand our Medtech, Robotics, Embedded IoT and AI footprint. Someone who knows how to build trust, create opportunity, and help customers feel confident choosing ICS to solve hard embedded software engineering problems. A strong MedTech network is a plus - but the real differentiator is your understanding of the Embedded Software Development Lifecycle and the ability to build new relationships and earn credibility quickly.
Responsibilities
  • Drive new business development across Boston-area MedTech, Robotics and Embedded Iot companies
  • Represent ICS' engineering and AI capabilities with credibility and insight
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with engineering and R&D leaders
  • Work directly with ICS technical teams to scope and shape project engagements
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and manage a healthy, strategic pipeline
  • Expand existing Robotics and Embedded IoT accounts while continuing to hunt for new opportunity
  • Participate in MedTech, Robotics and AI-oriented events, conferences, and community groups
  • Help evolve ICS' go-to-market strategy around AI-enabled medical devices

Qualifications
  • +5 years selling professional engineering or software development services (NOT offshore staff aug, SAAS or commodity labor models)
  • Familiarity with the regulated product development
  • Ability to discuss AI and Robotics opportunities in embedded devices
  • Confident speaking with technical audiences who expect clarity and competence
  • A relationship-driven mindset - you sell by earning trust, not out-talking people
  • A Boston-area presence and desire to meet customers onsite
  • A healthy balance of hunter instincts + account management discipline
  • A useful MedTech, Robotics and Embedded Software Engineering Rolodex is a strong plus
