Job description

Job Summary:
Symbotic is an automation technology leader reimagining the supply chain with its end-to-end, AI-powered robotic and software platform. The role involves developing Machine Learning solutions and deep learning vision models to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of autonomous robots.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Implement and maintain state-of-the-art on-bot vision solutions using python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes and other modern tools.
โ€ข Build on-bot and in-cloud infrastructure to develop and deploy state-of-the-art binocular and 3D vision solutions.
โ€ข Design and build dashboards and metrics to help develop and monitor vision solutions.
โ€ข Intimately understand the sensor package and work closely with electrical engineers and Linux Kernel developers to ensure correctness and timeliness of processed data.
โ€ข Work closely with our QA and DevOps engineers to deploy our solutions to the robot fleet across the world.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข A minimum of Masterโ€™s degree in a related discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
โ€ข Minimum of 6 years of solid professional experience in software engineering, skilled with an expertise in at least one language and its associated stack. The ideal candidate will check-in thoughtful, working code quickly and consistently.
โ€ข Ability to understand and help design a modern perception of hardware and software stack for a complex robotics system.
โ€ข Direct experience with developing ML models from scratch and implementing SOTA vision models in real-world applications.
โ€ข Experience implementing portable solutions using containers both in cloud and on edge.
โ€ข Experience with ML cloud computing models and tools (WandB, TFX, TensorBoard, KFP, etc.)
โ€ข Leadership need to own a perception sub-system.
โ€ข Collaborative with, flexible in thinking and have a good sense of humor.
