Job description
Challenger School is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at our California campuses as a computer teacher. Challenger uses computer programming to teach students to be independent, critical thinkers. As a computer teacher at Challenger, you will be responsible for teaching programming lessons in ways that support this goal. A proven programming curriculum is already in place and training will be provided. Â This position may include teaching other elementary subjects, as needed.
We are currently hiring for our eight locations in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly learn and deliver Challenger’s curriculum, teaching methods, and philosophy
- Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
- Prepare daily lesson plans
- Teach a variety of programming classes from 1st to 8th grade, according to campus needs
- Work patiently with students, parents, and coworkers
Qualifications
- 4-year college bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology
- Familiarity with programming languages, particularly PythonÂ
- Ability to pass a background check
- Completion of pre-employment assessments
