DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Pineville, LA, is looking for a CAD Operator I to join our team. The CAD Operator I has progressed from CAD Trainee or was employed with basic AutoCAD skills in place. This individual must be capable of basic drawing routines and of the operation of reproducing equipment. The CAD Operator I creates erection and detailed drawings of steel structures for fabrication. Creates bill of materials and digital files for fabrication at the DIS-TRAN Steel Plant location. Coordinates with Engineers and Project Coordinators to translate drawings and / or correct errors as needed by the Plant.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma required; technical 2 year degree in AutoCAD preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience and technical competency is required.
  • A strong math background is required for this position.
