Job description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for installation and configuration of technology-related equipment such as computers, computer software, monitors, telephones, ancillary equipment and basic networking equipment. Manage Microsoft Office 365 servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported. Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and support where required.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of Casino.
  • Support all team members in their proper use of technology.
  • Setup and install computing equipment and software. Ensure devices are communicating with network resources as needed.
  • Interviews user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
  • Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for user problems.
  • Maintains and accomplishes an established Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule for computer assets.
  • Follow the IT procedures and policies that regard computer and network usage.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues when presented by team members or assigned by the IT Director.
  • Create and maintain records of equipment placement. Record serial numbers of equipment and log all equipment when it is received and when it is deployed.
  • Install operating systems and software according to the policies set forth by the company.
  • Maintain confidential information and prohibit unauthorized access to, or dissemination of, any confidential or proprietary information.
  • Assist management with upholding industry compliant network security measures and controlling physical access to IT equipment, and specifically, the IT servers.
  • Perform other tasks assigned.

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in the field of computer science (or closely related field) or 3 years equivalent work experience in a casino setting can be substitute for Degree โ€“ OR โ€“ willing to consider a combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform in the position successfully
  • CompTIA Certifications preferred
  • Understanding of current personal computer technology and business applications
  • Basic understanding of networking technologies
  • Ability to install Windows operating systems and office automation applications such as Word and Excel
  • Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to Multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise, smoke, and temperature levels

Gaming License Required: Ability to secure and maintain STATE OR TRIBAL Gaming License.
