ATS – AL, Inc is hiring.  We offer a broad range of IT services; however, this is not your “typical” Senior IT Tech position. Your day can range from reinstalling a PC Operating System to drilling holes and running CAT6 and fiber through entire buildings to installing racks, nodes, terminating patch panels and configuring VLANs. Required skills:              
  • 4+ years of experience with PCs, printers, laptops and Windows Server experience. 
  • Basic understanding of firewalls, access lists, NAT, PAT.
  • Experience with Active Directory, from setup to administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server a plus.
  • Virtual Server Experience - HyperV or Vmware.
  • Backup Software
  • Basic understand of routing concepts and VLAN management.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 Professional operating systems.
  • Working knowledge and troubleshooting of standard desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of Cat 5e or higher cabling and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced knowledge of switch/router management.
  • 4+ years experience with DNS, subnetting, routing tables, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal/team skills and the ability to impart information to colleagues with a varied range of computer knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and install complete networks.
  • Support, troubleshoot and maintain existing networks.
  • Respond to requests from end users.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and failures.
  • Keep systems patched with up-to-date drivers, firmware, etc.
  • Monitor networks and security to ensure stability.
  • Perform System Monitoring (server system logs, messages, and alerts).
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement and help streamline operations.
  • Share knowledge with other team members.
  • Learn new skills.

Required experience:
  • Installing and configuring Windows Server based networks.
  • Installing and configuring firewalls, switches and VLANs.
  • Installing and configuring VOIP systems.
  • Prefer the ability to set up and program CCTV DVRs, HVRs and NVRs.
  • Prefer the ability to set up and configure various types of analog and IP based cameras.
  • Prefer the ability to troubleshoot connections issues, focusing, and lens configuration of analog and IP based cameras.
  • Background in one or more of the following fields is a plus: video surveillance, networking and computer repair.
  • Confidently troubleshoot software, hardware and network related issues on Windows 10 based PCs.
  • Research problem issues using a myriad of technical resources (previous tickets, Internet, etc.).
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers, managers, and customers on technical related issues using proper grammar.
