The Port Huron site, located 50 miles north of Detroit, focuses on the manufacturing and reconditioning of PCD tools. It is the U.S. Headquarters for sales, engineering, design and administration.

YOUR TASKS:
  • Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for parts provided by customers
  • Simulate complete machining processes to estimate cycle times, tool paths, and material removal rates
  • Integrate MAPAL cutting tools- including solid carbide, PCD, ISO, fine boring, and actuating tools- into simulations
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to validate machining strategies and tooling selections
  • Work with Fixture Specialists to ensure tool paths avoid interference and accommodate workholding constraints
  • Optimize programs for efficiency, tool life, and surface finish
  • Generate setup sheets, tool lists, and simulation reports for internal and customer use
  • Maintain a library of machining templates and tool data for reuse and standardization
  • Support trials, prove-outs, and troubleshooting as needed

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in CAD/CAM programming and machining simulation
  • Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam HyperMill, Siemens NX, Creo CAM, or Autodesk Fusion 360
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools such as BricsCAD and Creo
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, cutting tool technology, and G-code
  • Familiarity with MAPAL tooling or similar high-performance cutting tools
  • Ability to interpret complex part drawings and process documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience simulating machining processes for automotive, aerospace, of fluid power components
  • Familiarity with digital twin or virtual machining environments
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers
