Job description

PRICE ELECTRIC is seeking a motivated and innovative BIM Technician (Building Information Modeling) to work on diverse electrical construction projects. This role is ideal for someone wanting to expand their knowledge into 3D modeling, electrical design and coordination in the MEP industry. This individual works closely with project managers, field leaders and the pre-construction department to meet expectations and timelines.
What You'll Do:
  • Create and coordinate electrical layouts based on contract documents
  • Develop 3D models and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Follow BIM Execution Plans and internal workflows
  • Produce shop and installation drawings
  • Participate in project reviews and print drawing sets
  • Ensure model accuracy and required Level of Development (LOD)
  • Review and support CAD technicians for accuracy
  • Managed deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal team members
  • Lead modeling efforts and support others where needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Prior experience with CAD or a 2-year drafting or AEC education
  • 2+ years of electrical field experience or knowledge preferred
  • Excellent computer skills required and prior experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, or Bluebeam is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes
  • Basic understanding and ability to reach and interpret blueprints and 2D drawings
