GPIis seeking a Survey CAD Technician for our Survey Department with at least 2 years of experience to work out of our Morris Plains, NJ office. Candidates must have civil engineering or survey CAD drafting experience and possess good verbal communication skills; work will include processing and importing field data into a CAD environment in the development of survey plans and documents. Work will be project-based and schedule-driven. The successful Technician candidate will work under the direction of a Project Surveyor.   • Assist with Terrestrial LiDAR collection and initial processing.
  • Prepare Existing Conditions Surveys using AutoDesk Civil3D and MicroStation software.
  • Perform 3D modeling and data extraction for Civil Engineering and Surveying Applications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 Years of experience using Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley OpenRoads/OpenSite Designer, or equivalent software.
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • 3D modeling software experience is favorable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs is favorable.
  • Experience with civil/site projects is favorable.
