PC Support Technician

Location: New York, NY
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Shift: Midnight Shift — 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PC Support Technician to provide technical support as part of a 24/7 onsite support team supporting critical control center and technology operations.

The technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, updating, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware and software. The role will provide support for Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems, computer peripherals, applications, and related technology infrastructure.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support to users, perform system administration tasks, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with technology deployments, and support project requirements across assigned facilities.

The consultant must be available to work fully onsite during the midnight shift, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite PC and technical support as part of a 24/7 support team.
  • Install, configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
  • Provide Microsoft Windows and Apple OS support.
  • Deploy and maintain desktop and laptop computer equipment.
  • Troubleshoot operating system, application, hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide technical support to end users and resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Perform system administration and desktop support tasks.
  • Support printers, network printing, handheld devices, digital senders, and other peripherals.
  • Perform hardware and software technical reviews and evaluations.
  • Assist with software installations, upgrades, patches, and deployments.
  • Support Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft productivity applications.
  • Assist with Active Directory-related support and user administration.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and TCP/IP-related issues.
  • Coordinate technology requirements with internal departments and project teams.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, configurations, and technical procedures.
  • Work with support teams to identify and resolve recurring technical issues.
  • Provide technical assistance at other assigned facilities when required.
  • Move, install, configure, and lift computer and technology equipment as needed.
  • Perform other technical support duties as assigned.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows XP/7/10/11 and Windows environments.
  • Experience supporting Apple operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft productivity applications.
  • Experience with email systems and network printing.
  • Experience supporting handheld devices and peripheral equipment.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting Ethernet connectivity and cabling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Oracle client-based applications.
  • Experience with Cisco networking devices.
  • Experience with Unix, Linux, or Solaris environments.
