Job Description


The IT Specialist will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity standards, with a strong emphasis on CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) compliance. Reporting to the SVP of Staffing, this role will drive IT operations, compliance initiatives, and secure systems management to ensure alignment with business goals.


This is an onsite opportunity in the Holton, KS area.


Key Responsibilities:


IT Operations and Infrastructure Management:


Oversee daily IT operations, managing network security, data storage, and system administration to ensure high performance and security.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure in support of daily operations and leadership within the HQ enclave
  • Implement best practices in system hardening, data integrity, and uptime.
  • Assist in developing IT strategies that support the organization’s growth, reliability, and compliance requirements.


CMMC/CMMI Compliance Support:

Lead the implementation of CMMC and CMMI practices within the IT department, supporting the organization’s compliance and certification goals.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to CMMC/CMMI standards and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support ongoing compliance efforts, ensuring transparent reporting to leadership.


Cybersecurity and Risk Management:

Implement and monitor cybersecurity policies and controls to protect data and prevent security incidents.

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and vulnerability tests, applying updates to mitigate risks.
  • Support the SVP in developing an incident response plan and ensure timely reporting of any cybersecurity incidents.


Vendor and Technology Support Coordination:

Manage relationships with IT service providers and vendors, coordinating services to ensure they meet organizational standards and compliance.

  • Assist with technology procurement, evaluating software and hardware solutions that support infrastructure, compliance, and security needs.


Team Collaboration and Training:

  • Provide training to employees on cybersecurity best practices and ensure organization-wide awareness of compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to implement technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and security.
  • Conduct initial employee on-boarding and familiarize new employees with our IT Infrastructure
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or substitution .

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in CMMC and/or CMMI compliance.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CMMC Professional, CMMI Associate, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar certifications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in network security, data management, compliance tools, and IT support. Familiarity with NIST, ISO, and ITIL frameworks is beneficial.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical team members.
