Job description

GA Foods is hiring a Warehouse worker/Forklift Operator for our headquarters location in St. Petersburg, FL. This role will be responsible for performing warehouse duties and assist in warehouse operations in a safe, efficient and accurate manner.

Warehouse worker - Essential Duties:

Including but not limited to: 

  • Pull customer orders (frozen, refrigerated, dry)
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner
  • Conduct physical product inventories;
  • Assist with departmental housekeeping
  • Receive and inbound product/unload inbound product
  • Ship outbound product/Load outbound product
  • Complete and maintain paperwork and records as required
  • Other duties assigned by management

Warehouse worker - Job Specifications and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of sit down forklift experience - required
  • Pallet Jack experience
  • It is required to work a full time scheduled shift (2:00pm - 11:00pm or until shift change including weekends)
  • It is required to work in a freezer, 
  • Able to work in the dry and Refrigerated Warehouses, 
  • Able to work in the Dock; 
  • Computer Experience including utilization of RFID scanning technology

Warehouse worker Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift.
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as machine operation, etc.) most of the workday.
  • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas/water, or similar elements most of the workday.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift.
  • Under 1/3: Sit, Climb or balance, Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, Taste or smell.
  • Over 2/3: See, Stand, Walk, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms, Talk or hear.

Weight Lifting/Exertion:

  • Under 1/3: Up to 80 lbs.
