As a Gogo Intern: Cybersecurity Infrastructure Technician, you will be a key member of our cybersecurity team, responsible for the overall cybersecurity program at Gogo Business Aviation. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and learn from a team of passionate cybersecurity professionals.

This role will involve you in real-world cybersecurity assessments, where you will help to protect our commercial products from cyber threats.

How will you make a difference?

  • Prepare and execute a cybersecurity plan for a commercial product, gaining hands-on experience in a live environment

  • Conduct penetration testing and recommend mitigation steps to address vulnerabilities

  • Use network analysis and penetration testing tools to identify and document security weaknesses

  • Track project tasks, provide status updates, and ensure that tasks are completed on schedule

  • Contribute to improving our processes, tooling, and infrastructure by researching and introducing new network, analysis, and penetration tools

  • Help guide the implementation of best practices for software and network security

  • Research threat intelligence sources to develop a program and present your findings to senior leadership

  • Use our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to monitor for potential malicious activity

Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree inCybersecurity,Computer Science,Information Technology, or a related field

  • You must be enrolled in an accredited school

Preferred Skills, Academic Experience and Talents

  • Exposure to Risk AssessmentandThreat Modeling

  • An interest in learning about password cracking tools

  • Understanding of the analysis and mitigation of cyber threats

  • Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic weaknesses

  • Familiarity with theNIST Cybersecurity FrameworkorISO 27001

  • Experience withcloud security (AWS & Azure)is a plus

  • Knowledge ofEndpoint Detection and Response (EDR)tools
