Job Description/Duties
Visit college employees for problem solving or equipment delivery/pickup.
Perform simple installations and updates on user's computers.
Assist with computer equipment moves.
Maintain complete inventory of computers and related hardware.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve simple hardware and software requests received via walk in, phone, or ticket.
Performs routine clerical work; answer and attend to telephone calls; maintain records, operate office machines (such as copiers), sort and distribute mail.
Days/Hours Needed
Flexible scheduling from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
21 hours per week max.
Campus Location/Bldg.
Old Main, B-10
Required Qualifications
Must be a current SUNY student.
No experience necessary!
Preferred Qualifications
Good customer service skills.
Self-confidence and a good work ethic.
Ability to proactively identify tasks that need to be done.
Work well in a team.
Be eager to learn - no prior computer knowledge needed.
Hold valid NYS license.
Be either a first-year or sophomore (this position can be long-term, for your entire college career)
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Lifting, carrying, setting up computers (crawling around desks and tables).
Moving printers, computers and monitors.
