Description:

This position supports technologists and sonographers in multiple imaging modalities, including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. The Tech Aide assists with patient workflow, exam preparation, image/report management, and department support to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.


Essential Duties

  • Coordinate and monitor patient flow across mammography, ultrasound, and MRI.
  • Call patients back for exams and provide gowning/prep instructions.
  • Review schedules, prior imaging, and ensure patient readiness for exams.
  • Assist MRI staff with workflow, including patient screening, IV starts (if assigned), sedation documentation, and patient escorting.
  • Assist with patient positioning, room setup, and equipment preparation.
  • Scan and organize outside reports into imaging systems (MI/IDS7).
  • Support report management, including verification, distribution, and follow-up inquiries.
  • Manage image requests, copying exams to CD/flash drive, and coordinating outside image retrieval.
  • Monitor dressing rooms and maintain cleanliness, stocking, and linen management.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate patient documentation and workflow tracking.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and staff regarding exam and image status.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Previous patient care or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
