Half (.5) Graduate Assistant - Computer Science
Position Description
The Half Graduate Assistant (.5 GA) will work 10 hours per week and receive up to 15 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 6 for fall, 6 for spring and 3 for summer.
Duties
  • Maintaining the lab, keeping it clean, safe, and organized.
  • Inventorying equipment and components, recommending purchases as needed
  • Writing and updating the lab safety policy
  • Assisting faculty with the setup and takedown of teaching lab experiments
  • Mentoring students on electronics projects

Outcomes
This position is essential for supporting the Computer Science department's particular teaching needs. Based on the listed responsibilities and preferred qualifications, a GA will get a chance to improve all the skills related to the position. It also gives a GA valuable experience that they can use on their resume.
